Welcome to Castanea Township …

Castanea Township was incorporated in December of 1877. The township is located in eastern Clinton County, bordered to the north by the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and to the south by Lamar and Bald Eagle Townships. The township encompasses a total of 6 square miles with a population of 1,095 (2020 Census).

Clinton County Residential Tire Collection Day!

The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority will be holding a Residential tire collection on Friday, May 9th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday, May 10th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. 12 car and light truck tires per resident.

As a courtesy to township residents, Castanea Township will pick up tires from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 9th. 3.

12 car and/or light truck tires will be accepted free of charge (with or without rims). You may take tires to landfill if you want to at no charge to residents of Clinton County. Charges will apply to “out of County” tires.

Proof of residency is required when taking tires to landfill.

COLLECTION IS NOT OPEN TO TIRE DEALERS , SERVICE STATION, REPAIR GARAGES, TIRE SALES OUTLETS OR SIMILAR FACILITIES.
